Some features of the dashboard are important to know as you customize your Content Policy. Rules can be rearranged or deleted, and this directly affects what kind of content is being blocked.
Learn more about Rule Order to fully customize your Content Policy's blocking behavior.
Delete Rules
Delete a rule by selecting the rule options button:
Note that if your profile is locked, Block rules cannot be deleted. Unlock your profile to freely delete block rules.
Re-Order Rules
Select the Reorder button to arrange your rules as needed.
By default, rule types are automatically sorted into the most useful order, so there is usually no need to change the order on your own.
Here's how your Content Policy should be arranged (and how rules are organized by default):
- SafeSearch rules should be sorted towards the top of your Content Policy.
- Allow rules to behave like exceptions, and they should always be listed above Block rules.
- Block rules that block larger categories of content should be listed towards the bottom of your Content Policy. Generally, the broader a Block rule is, the further down on your Content it should be.
