Exclude a website from being blocked

If you have a block rule with a category selected, but you want to exclude a website from being blocked within that category, follow these steps.

Using an Allow Rule to Add Exceptions

Overlapping rules in your content policy can be used to create exceptions.

1. Create an Allow Rule
2. Add the website domain to that new Allow Rule's content.
3. Ensure this allow rule is ordered above the conflicting block rule

How to find which rule is responsible for blocking a website:

1. Examine your DNS logs to see which rule was responsible for blocking a website
2. View the name of the rule on the block page

Temporarily add an exception

If you want to add a website exception sometimes, but not always, you can add a schedule to your new allow rule.
