If you are using the Cloudflare WARP or Cloudflare One app to connect to your Content Policy, you can change app settings remotely from the Tech Lockdown dashboard. Changes are automatically synced to the app on your device.
These Cloudflare App Preferences are managed in your Tech Lockdown dashboard under Settings > App Preferences.
Selecting a Filtering Mode
The Cloudflare One app and Cloudflare Warp application have two filtering modes:
- DoH (DNS only)
- WARP (full VPN tunneling).
Specify which mode the app should use in the App Preferences section of the Tech Lockdown dashboard.
Lock Filtering Mode
If Warp mode is selected, you can toggle the option to "allow switching modes."
If disabled, a user can manually toggle between DoH or WARP mode within the app on their device.
If enabled, the user cannot switch from the option set by Filtering Mode.
Lock the Filter Switch
Lock the filter switch so that the large switch in the app can't be turned off.
Prevent Logout
If enabled, users can log out of the Cloudflare Warp application or Cloudflare One app.
If disabled, user must uninstall the Cloudflare Warp application or Cloudflare One app in order to disconnect from the filter. We recommend options to prevent the app or application from being removed here.
Allow Automatic Certificate Installation
This setting should be enabled by default, and we recommend keeping it enabled.
If on, it allows Cloudflare Certificates to be automatically downloaded to each device that's connected to the filter with the VPN app. These certificates are critical if you'd like to see a Block Page, learn more about block pages here.
Note that you may need to install the Certificate manually on most devices. Windows is the only device that supports this feature without any interaction.
