YouTube Restricted Mode does two things:
- Blocks videos that might not be appropriate for general audiences.
- Removes some features, like the comments section.
Should a video blocked by restricted mode be accessed, YouTube displays this message:
Restricted Mode also limits YouTube search results and video recommendations on the home screen.
Content Policy YTRestricted Rule
You can enable YouTube from the Content Policy page by selecting Create Rule. From the Rule Action menu, go to General > YTRestricted.
Note: After adding the rule, you will need to force-close your browsers and restart the YouTube app. Rules normally take around 5 minutes to become fully enforced.
