Uninstall the Cloudflare One app and all config files on your iPhone to disconnect it from your Content Policy.
If you've taken the proper precautions to protect your connection on an iPhone, it's important to follow the correct procedure to fully remove all tools used to enforce that connection.
The approach you should follow will depend on whether your iPhone is supervised or a standard device.
You can confirm if your iPhone is supervised by opening iPhone settings. If your iPhone is Supervised, you should see a message near the top of the screen like this:
Standard iPhones
Uninstalling the filter on standard devices is straightforward:
Step 1: Remove any Screen-Time Restrictions
Screen Time restrictions could be used to prevent apps from being installed or deleted.
- On your iPhone, go to Settings > Screen Time.
- Tap on "Unlock Screen Time Settings". Enter your Screen Time Pin.
- From the Screen Time page, go to Content & Privacy Restrictions > iTunes & App Store Purchases.
- Make sure that Installing Apps and Deleting Apps are both enabled.
Step 2: Uninstall the Cloudflare One App
- Find the Cloudflare One App icon in your App Library.
- Press hold on the App Icon.
- Choose Delete, and confirm you want to remove the app.
If you don't see the option to delete the app completely, make sure that Screen Time restrictions are correctly disabled.
Supervised iPhones
If your iPhone is supervised, there are a few more barriers you will need to undo before removing the filter:
Step 1: Unlock your Tech Lockdown Profile
Profile locking restricts access to the tools that you will need to use.
- On the Tech Lockdown dashboard, go to Settings > Profile Locking.
- Follow the instructions to Unlock your Profile.
If you've forgotten your passcode, learn how to recover a profile-locking passcode.
Step 2: Remove Config Presets or Config Files
- On your iPhone, open Settings.
- Go to General > VPN & Device Management.
- Make a note of which Config Files are installed.
- Remove each Config File individually.
